About Dave Hubbard
Dave Hubbard grew up all over the world. His Dad served in the military so his family moved around a lot. Dave still loves to travel! He’s been to all 50 states more than once and almost 30 different countries.
After graduating from Philadelphia Biblical University with a BS in Biblical Theology and a BA in Business Administration, Dave thought he wanted to be a corporate mergers and acquisitions manager which is why he pursued a business degree. But then he realized he didn’t like cities, or corporations, or wearing suits, or shaving, or really caring about money at all. So, Dave went a different direction and moved to Lewes, Delaware, where he settled down with his fantastic dog Neelix instead!
In Delaware, Dave hosted local trivia games, which led to meeting Bill Sammons and others from The Bridge. Dave was on-air the very first day The Bridge launched. He co-hosted Afternoons on The Bridge for a few months before being asked to host Evenings on The Bridge. Dave stepped back from five days a week as he took over the lead producer role. He presently hosts Weekends on The Bridge. Dave also handles multiple podcasts, including some for The Bridge Podcast Network.
Dave has spent the past three years working remotely as he and his travel nurse wife explored the country together, one three-month stay at a time. He spent a good deal of his life talking to strangers, and finding that people are generally kind and want the best for each other. And will step up and help out a stranger if they see a need.
With a decade and a half of radio experience, Dave brings his unique perspective and humor to his daily uplifting news segments.
Dave is a strange and special human, who always brings a smile to the faces of those around him.
